NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Just got back into town at 6am Sunday from a trip to New York city!  I went with both my girls on a Beth organized bus (groan) trip. Boy did we have a blast, but not going to lie-hated that bus!

Worked on my Wisteria Arbor shawl in Blue Heron rayon metallic during the many hours we spent on the bus.  I am loving the way this yarn is working up and the drape is going to be amazing :)

My girls and I visited a couple of yarn stores while we were there.  One on the Upper West side and one on the Upper East side.  Wooly Bully definitely wins for yarn variety and friendliness of the staff!  Of course, I may be biased.

Beth will be going to TNNA in Columbus on Sunday and will be seeing what other yarn goodies we can order for the shop. I'm hoping for some great new colors in the Blue Heron rayon metallic :)
Possibly a few others of us may also be attending and I will share all the news about what we saw in next weeks blog.

KAL ON JUNE 28th
(We moved the Wrap Me Up shawl to July so stay tuned for more info to come)

Join Sara and Merry for this months knit-a-long on June 28th from 6-8pm.  They will be teaching the Favorite Scarf Ever, which is downloadable here . Please register at the shop ($5 fee per person) so that we will know how many people will be attending.  Below is a picture of the sample that Sara has made in the Opal Duo.

SPOTLIGHT

Each week we will spotlight another yarn that we have enjoyed using at the shop.  This week is Ripple yarn from Tahki Stacy Charles.  It knits up quickly and blocks out great! We have a couple of great books with patterns available specifically for Ripple in stock and several beautiful colors.

The tank on display in the store was made in color 7 and took 5 balls.  When you are measuring the length of your project make sure you stretch it, it does scrunch up a lot until blocked.

Hope you all have a great week this week!
